[kiss prompt] vog boys - stomach

Praedyth’s fiery fist connects with Pahanin’s stomach, and Pahanin feels the heat travel all the way up to his throat until he feels like he wants to puke fire and sparks. He doesn’t double over, not exactly, but he staggers back and lets the pain blossom throughout his whole body. His hands shake, nerves screaming.

His armor plating has melted at the chest. The skin beneath it is charred. This isn’t even Praedyth’s full power. The kinder thing would’ve been to punch Pahanin and let him go up in flames and turn into ash. Praedyth, Pahanin guesses, isn’t in the mood to be kind.

“Ooh, been taking lessons from Kabr?” he asks, voice just a rasp. It hurts to talk. Praedyth seems to have learned the trick of burning someone from the inside out.

“Please, don’t involve me in this,” Kabr says, mildly.

Praedyth’s Light flares. For one blessed moment, his temper turns away from Pahanin and swings full force towards Kabr. “You don’t think you’re involved?”

Kabr pauses. His silence is as delicate as spinmetal thread. Then, because Kabr’s temper is never to be underestimated either, “I never did teach you how to throw a proper punch.” Which, in typical Titan speak, means: bring it.

Resigned, Pahanin draws out his knives.

Later, when Pahanin’s got a hole in his gut and Kabr’s fists are skinned to the bone, Praedyth’s flames cool to dying embers.

Pahanin sinks to the ground, waiting to die, waiting for the resurrection to come. Instead, Praedyth drops a rift around him and drops to his knees, pulling Kabr down with them.

It’s no real apology, but Praedyth bends his head, lips to Pahanin’s healing stomach.

It’s not as hot as a punch to the gut, but it knocks the breath out of Pahanin just the same.

(idk what they are fighting about i just wanted angry praedyth, lol)
